I plan to turn it into a brooch but as is it's so lovely coordinated with its mother necklace. Very recommended, it came in just a week! Gorgeous ring. Love the shop! Great service. Quick delivery.
The pendant looks amazing, just the right size and wonderful color. Also, the package arrived very quickly. I love my new glass. Great quality and detail! The earrings are brilliant and they arrived very quickly along with the Devil Heart pendant which is also amazing. I just would've liked that the packaging was more secure, like in a plastic bag, an envelope, or something because the cardboard box arrived opened thankfully none of the contents were stolen or fell out.

In ghostloredescriptions of ghosts vary widely from an invisible presence to translucent or barely visible wispy shapes, to realistic, lifelike forms. The belief in the existence of an afterlifeas well as manifestations of the spirits of the dead, is widespread, dating back to animism or ancestor worship in pre-literate cultures. Certain religious practices—funeral rites, exorcismsand some practices of spiritualism and ritual magic —are specifically designed to rest the spirits of the dead.
Ghosts are generally described as solitary, human-like essences, though stories of ghostly armies and the ghosts of animals rather than humans have also been recounted. The overwhelming consensus of science is that there is no proof that ghosts exist. In folklore studiesghosts fall within the motif index designation EE "Ghosts and other revenants".
The Germanic word is recorded as masculine only, but likely continues a neuter s -stem. In Germanic paganism" Germanic Mercury ", and the later Odinwas at the same time the conductor of the dead and the "lord of fury" leading the Wild Hunt.
Besides denoting the human spirit or soul, both of the living and the deceased, the Old English word is used as a synonym of Latin spiritus also in the meaning of "breath" or "blast" from the earliest attestations 9th century.
Also from the Old English period, the word could denote the spirit of God, viz. The now-prevailing sense of "the soul of a deceased person, spoken of as appearing in a visible form" only emerges in Middle English 14th century. The modern noun does, however, retain a wider field of application, extending on one hand to "soul", "spirit", " vital principle ", " mind ", or " psyche ", the seat of feeling, thought, and moral judgement; on the other hand used figuratively of any shadowy outline, or fuzzy or unsubstantial image; in optics, photography, and cinematography especially, a flare, secondary image, or spurious signal.
Wraith is a Scots word for ghostspectreor apparition. It appeared in Scottish Romanticist literature, and acquired the more general or figurative sense of portent or omen. In 18th- to 19th-century Scottish literature, it also applied to aquatic spirits. The word has no commonly accepted etymology; the OED notes "of obscure origin" only. A revenant is a deceased person returning from the dead to haunt the living, either as a disembodied ghost or alternatively as an animated " undead " corpse.
Also related is the concept of a fetchthe visible ghost or spirit of a person yet alive. A notion of the transcendentsupernaturalor numinoususually involving entities like ghosts, demonsor deitiesis a cultural universal. Some people believe the ghost or spirit never leaves Earth until there is no-one left to remember the one who died. In many cultures, malignant, restless ghosts are distinguished from the more benign spirits involved in ancestor worship. Ancestor worship typically involves rites intended to prevent revenantsvengeful spirits of the dead, imagined as starving and envious of the living.
Strategies for preventing revenants may either include sacrificei. Magical banishment of the dead is present in many of the world's burial customs. The bodies found in many tumuli kurgan had been ritually bound before burial, and the custom of binding the dead persists, for example, in rural Anatolia. Nineteenth-century anthropologist James Frazer stated in his classic work The Golden Bough that souls were seen as the creature within that animated the body.
Although the human soul was sometimes symbolically or literally depicted in ancient cultures as a bird or other animal, it appears to have been widely held that the soul was an exact reproduction of the body in every feature, even down to clothing the person wore.
This is depicted in artwork from various ancient cultures, including such works as the Egyptian Book of the Deadwhich shows deceased people in the afterlife appearing much as they did before death, including the style of dress. While deceased ancestors are universally regarded as venerable, and often believed to have a continued presence in some form of afterlifethe spirit of a deceased person that persists in the material world a ghost is regarded as an unnatural or undesirable state of affairs and the idea of ghosts or revenants is associated with a reaction of fear.
This is universally the case in pre-modern folk cultures, but fear of ghosts also remains an integral aspect of the modern ghost storyGothic horrorand other horror fiction dealing with the supernatural. Another widespread belief concerning ghosts is that they are composed of a misty, airy, or subtle material.
Anthropologists link this idea to early beliefs that ghosts were the person within the person the person's spiritmost noticeable in ancient cultures as a person's breath, which upon exhaling in colder climates appears visibly as a white mist.

N utopia. Hurra-Wir Leben Noch. Frank Zander.I've watched Clemson a lot. They're fun to watch. They didn't want us to be here so let's tell them why we're here.
I know I'd have a little edge about me if they didn't want me to be in there. Then we get in there and we're playing Clemson, the team we lost to in the final minutes last year. I'd have a little edge about. I at least think they'll beat Clemson. I think coach (Dabo) Swinney has done a great job with the culture there to do what he's done in a relatively short period of time just winning ballgames and staying on top.
Clemson is looking good as well. College football is crazy, man. Anybody can be beat on any given day so you have to hold onto your seat and watch what happens. I have my guy, Dexter Lawrence at Clemson. We played high school ball together so I have to go with Clemson. I watched them play all the time, Georgia, I've seen them play all the time. There are a lot of good teams in there right now.
I'm a Georgia Dawg. I see them on TV and see what kind of players they have. I think whoever wins that game will go on. They have the experience of being in the playoff so I think that would be my guess.

The picks with the winning team in bold at the top of each prediction: Champion: Georgia "I'm thinking heavy on Georgia because they're a hard fighting team and they have a bunch of guys on that team that can make plays when it's called their way. Oklahoma "One reason: Baker Mayfield. Clemson "They're ranked first in defensive efficiency and their defensive line is unbelievable.
Clemson "Well my brother is a linebacker at Clemson, so I have to go with them, for his sake. Georgia "Georgia, all the way. View Comments About Us About Alabama Media Group Jobs at Alabama Media Group Advertise with us News In Education Frequently Asked Questions About AL.

I found the process incredibly easy and informative. The map provided to us with areas of interest was used often and I found all of the documentation to be extremely helpful but easy to process.
Erla accommodated all of our requests - she kept us updated and informed. This was our first experience dealing with a travel agency outside of the US and it was a wonderful and satisfying experience. We were extremely pleased with our overall experience and at how well everything went.
Nordic Visitor planned a wonderful vacation for us that exceeded all of our expectations. Iceland is a beautiful country with stunning scenery. Each location we visited was different yet beautiful. We look forward to planning another vacation through Nordic Visitor. I am generally accustomed to making my own travel arrangements via the internet, but due to time constraints I decided to choose a travel agent to take care of things for me. From the first questions to the last, Alexandra at NV was fantastic.
She arranged everything as we requested it for our custom tour of the Westfjords of Iceland. She even rearranged accommodations at the last minute at our request and did so graciously and kindly.
We fell in love with Iceland and will treasure our visit there for years to come. If we decided to visit another country serviced by Nordic Visitor Tours, we will once again call on Alex and her team.
Would highly recommend these tours to other people. All information provided was very helpful. She laid out every detail of the trip, provided maps and location of hotels and ferry's we were to cross, and told us what to expect at every stage of the trip. She then followed up while we were traveling to make sure everything was going good.
Her selection of hotels was terrific. This was one of the best trips we have taken and Kolbrun is the best representative with a tour group we have used.
We have just returned from a wonderful 15 day tour of Iceland planned by Nordic Visitor. Our agent's name is Alexandra. She was always responsive to the huge number of questions I asked her when planning the trip. Her patience is commendable. Once Alexandra zeroed in on my love for Puffins, and birds in general, she tailored a wonderful 12 day trip circumnavigating Iceland.
We saw so much beauty in Iceland that it is difficult to describe. She also arranged fantastic places for us to stay, starting at the Center Hotel Arnarhvoll in Reykjavik. The information and map were well documented with our route outlined in green and our hotel name and night put in orange. It was very easy to follow her suggested route and we had a full set of vouchers for each place we stayed, including a gift of the thermal pools in the Lake Myvatn area.
My biggest concern was distance between places as it is difficult to plan how long we could stay in one spot before moving on.
