In addition to the games, videos and social media apps, we attend regular calls, make video calls and do lots and lots of things that require our phones to perform well all the time. Every now and then, it gets difficult for our phones to keep up with our over-burdening requirements from it. We have some solutions that can help you fix the problem so that you can enjoy a smoother Android experience.
Apps that depend on the internet may end up crashing if you have an unstable network or if you change from mobile data to a Wi-Fi connection.
While the best apps will work perfectly, apps with a weaker code may not be able to do well in such situations. If you have a bug in the app you are using, the bug may end up causing the automatic closing of the app. Fixing bugged apps is primarily in the hands of the app developer. Make sure you keep your apps updated to fix any bugs in it. Every phone is built to stand a certain level of usage. Some power users end up burdening the CPU by installing apps that do not ideally qualify for the phone.
This creates instability in the app causing it to crash. These are some of the most common reasons that cause apps to crash automatically. Most of the times, the cause of the problem will make it easier for you to identify the right solution. Apps must always run their updated version so that any known bugs or errors can be fixed in it. Developers regularly roll out updated to solve user issues with the app.
There is a chance that the app begins to crash because it is running an old version that lacks the performance capabilities of its updated version.
Many apps need adequate space for creating new files or storing data created when you use the apps. When your phone or tablet begins to run low on storage spaceit gets difficult for the app to create data. Many devices feature lots of storage, but if you have too many apps and data files taking up space then your app may crash.
You can also use Android apps for cleaning up old and unwanted files from the device. If an app crashes frequently then you may be able to fix the problem by clearing the app cache and data. The app cache files include data which speeds up the app performance. Deleting the cache files will not cause any loss of important data. The file will be automatically created when you open the app the next time, albeit you may notice a slight delay in opening the app after deleting the cache files.
This is because the cache files are being created. The app data files, on the other hand, include important data like passwords and other information that personalizes the app for you.
By clearing the data file you will lose the configuration of the app and it will have to be reconfigured. Once the cache and data files have been cleared, you will get the chance to start all over again with the app.If your app keeps crashing and closing on you this might be what's going wrong - but you can fix it, don't worry.
If you're one of the millions of Facebook users who have the app on your phone you are probably also one of the many who is used to the app crashing and closing on you. While you may be thinking, oh well, it's time we all had a break from social media, for many Facebook is a way to connect with friends and family in far flung places meaning it's more than a little bit frustrating when it crashes.
Of course Facebook is man-made so just as likely to crash and break as other apps. If you haven't updated in awhile, or don't have the latest version there can be issues with your log in.
Outlook app for android crashes upon opening
It's always good to clear some memory as lack of space often plays a part in these sort of issues. Take time for house-keeping, delete pics, old apps, songs etc - what you don't need clear out.
We know this sounds like the standard IT response, reboot, restart, delete, but it often works with Facebook. Click the cross that appears, that will allow you to delete it. On Android you can drop the app into the 'bin' but you have to go into settings to fully delete Facebook.
After seconds or when the Apple logo appears the app will shut down and automatically restart. Try to reopen it now. Don't worry this won't delete anything, but you can rest your app settings taking it back to the factory default.
In the iPhone go to settings, then general, reset, reset all settings. You'll have to add your passcode to do this. Open the app and quickly log out. Now go to the device settings and access settings for Facebook. Delete Account as this will disconnect Facebook from your device. Re-launch the app and sign back in.
Go back to your settings and reload your username and password. If you've tried all the above and it's still not working it may be an issue with your actual device. As a last resort you can restore your settings, just be aware that your information and apps will be deleted from your device. You can always backup your phone or tablet first - there's a guide on how to do that here.
One answer to the app playing up is the whole of Facebook is down. This sometimes happens when the social media platform is changing, being updated or there are server issues. Just wait for the issue to be resolved by Facebook, your app will be fine once normal service has resumed!

I just bought a new android smartphone and installed the Outlook app. Every time I try to open it, it crashes; either the app simply closes, or else I get a white blank screen for a long time, or else I get a notification that the app is not responding. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the app, force stopping the Android System Webview and clearing the browser cache Chrome, which is a default app and cannot be uninstalled from my phone and uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
The app still crashes. Did this solve your problem? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Yes, it's from the Play store. The Outlook app is version 2. I did download the OWA app but that only seems to work well in that I get notifications of new emails but cannot connect to the app to actually see them when I'm connected to my office wi-fi this may be due to my office's security settings.
Fix an installed Android app that isn't working
Not really. I managed to get outlook working on my phone through a circuitous route, which is not helpful if you actually need to use the Company Portal.
So first I had the Company Portal installed. Through the app, I synced my phone to the Company Portal. I then installed the Outlook app and deleted the Company Portal app not sure in which order, but I don't think it makes much of a difference. I then logged on to Outlook, which I could do I believe because I had previously synced the phone.
So far so good, but it's not a sustainable solution, particularly since in the future my company has the intention of pushing work apps through Company Portal.
